We want to present the 2023-2024 Greeneville Youth Commission. Their first meeting was on Tuesday, October 24, from 3:10-5:10 pm in the G. Thomas Love Boardroom. Cathy Osborne, Assistant City Manager for the Town of Greeneville, leads the program. This is the second year of the program. The Town of Greeneville Youth Commission is a body of local young people enrolled in Greeneville High School as sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Each member serves a one-year term with the option of reappointment.
The commission's purpose is for youth to have a voice and make an impact in their community. This group of individuals will work toward developing their leadership skills while strengthening their communities through volunteer service and increased communication with municipal leaders. Members selected have an interest in local government, a desire to make local government a career choice, and/or want to be more involved in decision-making.
