At the Greeneville TN Police Department, we celebrate National Dog Day with our Malinois breed K-9's, Kojak, Pasa, and ECHO! 🐕🦺 They are trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and patrol. Their human partners are Sgt. Hinkle, Officer Gilbert, and Officer Casteel. The Officer and K-9 form a strong bond due to the numerous hours spent together both on- and off-duty.

Through the State of Tennessee Violent Crime Intervention Fund Grant, the Greeneville Police Department was able to purchase three new Dodge Durango patrol vehicles. Chief Steve Spano and Captain Kevin Gass are going to test this one out!
There will be a Grandparents Raising Grandkids Event on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30 pm at the Clyde Austin 4H Center (214 4-H Lane). It is open to 2 adults and 2 kids per family (childcare provided). Please RSVP to 423-609-9747 by 5/15/2024. There will be a meal, info, and support.

Last week, several law enforcement officers from around the region attended two courses from UT LEIC. STOP Domestic Violence was 32 hours and Sexual Assault Investigations was a 16-hour course. The training was held in Greeneville by Training Specialist, Jeff Hundley, and attended by several area agencies.
UT LEIC is the Law Enforcement Innovation Center at the University of Tennessee. They are a leading training and technical assistance provider for the law enforcement community.
We were happy to host this important training in Greeneville!
